I have social anxiety and my mom consistently does this annoying shit where someone will be visiting and she'll try to force me to come meet them.
The new neighbors are currently visiting and the wife is also vegan so she came to my window, then to my door trying to get me to meet her.
She should know after over a decade of this that I simply don't do unplanned visits, especially with complete strangers. She always ends up embarrassing me and making me look like a rude weirdo because she refuses to acknowledge that I'm not a normal, extroverted person who will just stop what they're doing on a whim to meet new people.
Plus, I go without showering for days at a time so even if I did go out and meet them I'd be insecure about my appearance too. Either way I'd end up embarassing myself so I wish she would just respect my boundaries and pretend like I'm not even here.
