• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Wow, looks like an amazing TV.
Weighs a ton, uses 9 D-size battery, has no video input, and the screen is smaller than my phone, and black and white. Truly a beautiful piece of technology

Yes, it's very vintage, so you can't plug it to electricity?

Yes you can. You can plug it on 220V AC or 12V DC. It's meant to be portable, though. I believe this was used when people went on holidays when analog TV was still a thing. Now to display anything on it you need to transmit on analog VHF frequencies, (basically make your own TV channel) which is still illegal in most countries (why though? theres nothing on those frequencies.) I did this to display this message :)
What is that?
My gf! :)

You can plug a digital decoder into the VHF transmitter with a HDMI to composite adapter. So yeah technically I can still watch tv on this thing! :)

wonder if you need a TV license for it in case you don't have one. Really hated paying for that TV license since I was already paying for the cable TV.
