edit: I guess there are 4 of them now? or either I imagined it but I highly doubt that I imagined the one I am looking for but I have never watched this version before

This is a great film but I can't remember any of it for the life of me besides the ending

edit: also if you've liked/enjoyed/have seen this film I recommend Possession 1981 it's a horror film about a breakup/divorce
