  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Hi guys. Wondering if anyone struggling here is from the London, England area? I have friends but none who are on the wavelength with these kind of suicidal thoughts and feelings. When I talk about it they just switch to "oh i dont think about life being unfair because that because it doesn't add value to my life" or you're not really suicidal, you are just feeling sad and moping. They then admit they havent had suicidal thoughts so they dont understand what I'm talking about. One of these guys is on paper his life is more shit then mine. But he doesnt have suicidal thoughts, because it is something that most people just arent wired that way I guess?

And other people think you can just flick a switch and think differently. Or you can just make a choice and "grow up".

Most people don't understand and when I'm feeling like this it's just like talking at cross purposes. I'm wondering if anyone else on SS who lives in London feels the same way?

P.S. Lockdown 2.0 really sucks

You're right. Its much more complicated than that.

You're friend might not have as good a life "on paper" but what the fuck does "on paper" mean.

He might be happier because he has a stronger family and friendship group, more supportive upbringing, and learnt a set of values which means he's achieving his goals.

If over time you've been taught a set of values which say on paper you have a better life, my instincts tell me the success criteria on that paper is wrong.

There's a lot of bullshit in London with people climbing over each other and boasting about doing supposedly elaborate things in places that are allegedly desirable.

I have quite a stressful job and feel like I never achieve anything. I had an ex that worked on a market stall and loved every day because of the people that surrounded them and presumably the lack of constant pressure.
