Mixing SN

Looking for instructions on how to mix the SN. I don't know how to measure it. I'm not even sure what I can put it in.

I'm imagining putting it in a shot glass and mixing it with a butter knife or something small. I know I'm not supposed to use a lot of water.

A shot glass should be OK if its around 50ml, but use a teaspoon to mix rather than a butter knife.

I think mixing 25g in 50ml plain tap or bottled water is correct. Ideally you should measure the water and powder, but you can always use 4 level teaspoons of SN in water that is a quarter of the way up of a 200ml glass.

Or you can always add 4 level teaspoons of powder to the glass first then add enough water to cover it and keep mixing vigorously until its dissolved keep adding water until its thin enough to drink. Make sure everything is dissolved fully with no crystals left.

Make sure you prepare 2 glasses, add the powder to both glasses first, then add water.

I'm guessing you got the jist of it from the other thread, but just to clarify the blood test does not involve taking any SN. You take a small amount of blood and place it on a surface with some of the SN and it should turn a brownish color quickly if the SN is the real deal.

You can just add a few drops of fresh blood from your finger to a white plate, take a photo, add a small amount of SN powder and mix quickly until it changes colour. Then take a final photo and compare with the previous photo. It should be a dark maroon or chocolate colour compared to the bright red colour of fresh blood.

You can also do an aquarium test and it will be more accurate and show actual levels of nitrite in the solution
