medication question

Hi,

I'm prescribed 3 mg clonazepam , 10 mg olanzepine and 120 mg duloxetiine.

What if I save up that clonazepam . How much would one need for an overdose (combined with a bottle of alcohol.)

I heard the olanzepine can work as an anti emetic so that take beforehand.

I'm just bored of life.

I also have Clonazepam prescribed. A year ago I've tried to OD it (50 mg) it with a plenty of alcohol + 50 mg of Alprazolam. This combo didn't worked for me. I hope this help.

Do not use benzo's to OD. You will most likely fail and end up in the hospital.

Not necessary. For example, I did not vomit.

Sorry, ineffective method... Maybe you could do it in a bathtub, black out & drown though. Just get in the tub & drink the crushed pills with a lot of hard liquor as fast as you can

I once took an entire bottle of clonazepam (90 pills at 3 mg/pill) and topped it off with A LOT of alcohol. I had a good night's sleep and was pretty calm for the rest of the week - but it did not kill me. In retrospect I really should have researched it first. It was such a waste of some good meds.

A quick google (not sure of the source of the info for these results) indicates that the LD50 (or the dose at which half of the population tested died after administration of clonazepam and it is important to note that this was half the population not all) was reported as follows: "Some oral LD50 values documented are >4000 mg/kg for the mouse model, >4000 mg/kg for the adult rat model, and >2000 mg/kg for the rabbit model."

In essence, these results show that it would take a HUGE amount and even then there is no guarantee that it would work as the LD50 is so variable and half of the animals survived even at these high doses. Not to mention these are animal models, so at best it would be a guess if the LD50 is the same in humans.

All in all, benzos are not really a viable option. There are other factors that would impact this such as the fact that tolerance can build up with these meds over time, so that it takes more and more of the med to work.

Not really a viable method and I would be careful because high doses may cause damage or adverse outcomes in other ways.

One of my former colleagues accidentally died of respiratory depression after combining diazepam with alcohol. And it 100% wasn't a CTB attempt. He didn't even swallow hundreds of pills. Maybe 5-10 at most, but still managed to accidentally die in the car while his girlfriend called an ambulance, who refused to come, referring to the fact that they couldn't just pick up a drunk person. That is, an overdose of benzo with alcohol is theoretically possible, but in extremely rare cases and does not even depend on the amount.

Benzos were designed to be extremely safe, but if you're younger than 25, you might die of respiratory depression if you take only a couple of Xanax, drink a liter of hard liquor in a very short space of time & manage not to puke too much. Young people's brains are still not fully physiologically* /functionally developed, so it's easier for them to achieve alcohol poisoning/respiratory depression.
