• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I always wanted to try using my garage door as a makeshift guillotine, but it has motion censors and won't fully close if it comes in contact with an object.

The lengths people have to go through to kill themselves when assisted suicide isn't an option. Kudos for this guy's creativity though

The morbid part of me is like "fuck yeah", but it's sad he had to make a contraption instead of something more humane.

I know right? When I read that story, my first thought was "Man, that lucky bastard. I wish I was able to engineer something like that."

Unfortunately, until LEGO makes a guillotine set with instructions, I will probably never be able to build it.

I think this would be ideal if it were doable for me. I'd have to be very confident that it was built correctly.
I'd also only do it if I lived alone I think. Or if I could transport it somewhere else.
It seems like it would be very quick. The extreme pain lasting maybe a couple seconds (perhaps to fast to even register?).
The next best thing to a gun.
And it seems he'd set it to go off while he slept. Even better.

Really awful about his father finding him though.

Seems like a pretty over the top way to do it though.

Surely there were easier methods available.

That is one hell of a way to go. It's a shame someone with such talent has left the world, but I have so much respect to his dedication and method. Makes me feel boring in comparison trying partial multiple times. If only I could try build a guillotine if I fail again.

This is what you get when fucking governments restrict/remove access to simple, painless and easy ways of committing suicide.

If N was easily available to this man, I'm sure he would have chosen it over such a gruesome method of CTB.

That's pretty brutal. Reminds me of someone on Reddit building a small guillotine to cut their tongue, so they couldn't speak anymore. And people continue to say life is good...
