Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

… an interview with one of the anti-MAID psychiatrists and one of his main arguments was that there are so many treatments to try, including lesser known ones like Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, and that more importantly, there could be new treatments in the future. He also brought up that suicidal ideation is a "symptom" of the mental illness itself.
You know, that is so irritating, I am going to be real evil here and wish that psychiatrist, to get a treatment resistant loooong term MDD, and to get really suicidal. And then to get a taste of some of his own medicine. Or all of them. Especially ECT, for example. With some nice side effects of psychiatric drugs, for example, akathesia, constipation, severely dry mouth,… that'd be a good a start.
"suicidal ideation is a "symptom" of the mental illness"- what an a-hole…

They want you to keep trying experimental meds and treatments that can make you worse or cause brain damage, I know from experience and those who are mentally ill are believed to not be in their right mind to make a decision for euthansia. Also pharmaceutical companies make bank off us being sick , a patient cured is a patient lost
They making too much $ from these. My therapist tried to get me back on a couple, it was the holidays so I said geez I'm too busy back in December for therapy I need a break and January was frigid and it was icy to drive so I told him I can't come in that month either Was supposed to return in February but decided not to since he wanted the nurse to put me on at least 2 psychiatric meds. Was just looking for news of MAID and am not surprised it might be delayed again and restricted for mental health and depression. Especially when Alberta has basically banned it now. But the partners thread and support and stuff to read is here though at least.
