I had a similar thought to this. I live near a aerodrome, which runs an active skydiving club. CTB would be possible if you simply just didn't open your chute.

But I looked into it, and it costs quite a bit of money (ÂŁ300+) and they do background medical checks.

That's the way I'd go as long as one's at a height that guaranteed instant death. Kind of sad he took a happy photo with his companions and then traumatized them by taking the jump. That will be the last imagine they'll have of him. The picture and the jumping. I would definitely consider this option. Especially when it's hard to access tall buildings.

Well that's the kind of absurdly dark drama I used to dream about as a kid, lol.

Just SN for me these days, thanks.

No way I could pull that off, it has too much personality for what I'm currently working with.

I'm pretty sure they have parachutes that will open automatically just in case you pass out while falling

I'd be so nervous doing it around other people. I need tranquility just before CTB. Social anxiety around 16 other people would be huge and I'd probably bottle out

Feel the same way. I'd need some peace and quiet time for myself. Social anxiety, SI, fear of heights etc... all those combined would drive my crazy.
Tho I gotta admit, it's a creative way.

That exactly was my method back in 2024, but I was chickened out, so I'm obviously still alive.

Please do you think you could explain why you backed out?
I think it's because the thought of there only being grass on the ground and not something like concrete, makes me not do it, I have seen people survive high heights before, obviously with serious injury's and I don't want to be paralyzed, now I know hot air balloons can go a couple thousand feet above ground, I was just scared of surviving somehow, I mean, I never really researched suicide methods in that year, SI is a bitch which contributed to me not jumping off.

Thanks for that. Yeh I had similar reasons for not jumping at beachy head cliffs

I'm assuming the background medical check is more for stuff like blood pressure and if you're like physically fit?
