Hello,

Some of you might have heard of a Korean woman who killed two men in February with the help of ChatGPT. She did so by mixing benzodiazepines with alcohol.
I keep reading on this forum that this method doesn't work, but here is an example where it worked (even though it wasn't to CTB...). Couldn't it be used for CTB then? Any thoughts about this?

It's not stated in the news of course, just "significantly higher doses of the drug". The article implies that she decided the dose according to what ChatGPT said.

How old were the men? How much did they ingest? Did they have an pre-existing medical conditions? Did they take something else along with the drugs and alcohol? How long did it actually take them to die? Did they suffer at all? All of these questions are huge factors in why the OD worked.

Do ODs work? Yes. Do they work reliably? No. Just because one successful case is reported in the news does not mean it is a reliable method. Look around this forum and you will find plenty of threads or posts of people who have tried to OD with a variety of medications (plus alcohol) and lived to write about it. People come here looking for methods that will work reliably and usually prefer methods that avoid pain/suffering. ODs are not it.

I agree! I guess sometimes it gets frustrating trying to find an "easy" way to commit suicide and finding it almost impossible... And then stumbling upon si many news of people dying by accident (as this happened to quite a few celebrities), or being murdered in this case, with some of those methods. Or doctors being so scared of prescribing certain meds. When I looked online, the success rate was very low (less than 10% if I recall correctly).

I'll look around the forum a little bit more, I can finally use the search function.

I read somewhere that what & the amount used was being circulated on Korean X. A cocktail of CNS depressants and stuff. Can't seem to find the post though.

This can kill you. The way that kills you is respiratory depression. Very slow and potentially painful way to die. If you don't "fall asleep" before you go then you'll be dealing with a lot of chest discomfort, nausea, headache and confusion.

It sounds peaceful. Which maybe it could be. But you also run the risk of suffering for several hours, only to survive. As a rule, ODs like this are a non-method.
