ב''ה,
In fairness this feels a bit much like cheering you on, but potassium can be like that, especially what with how potassium on its own has kind of a narrow therapeutic window before it fucks up the heart in the moment. So, evolution or design or whatever.
Does adding table salt a teaspoon at a time do anything? Then you have a salty mess, but with potassium salt substitutes sometimes that tricks the taste buds and offsets the body's might be a dangerous amount of potassium reaction. Though it will make whatever you're trying that much saltier, and probably with laxative effect if you get it down, but after like an hour so "shrug emoji?"
Adding via edit that I occasionally hear abstaining from all salt and electrolyte things for a week or more makes potassium more palatable and hit more like table salt's notional tastiness, but never really experienced that in full myself, not sure what extra taste sensation the rest of the chemistry adds here.
