Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Forgive me if this is already known knowledge, but I just realized there aren't any ads on this website. And there aren't even ads about purchasing death supplies, kits, N from A etc lmao. So how in blimey hell is this place funded??? And it's really well-maintained. I mean, I'm awfully grateful such a haven exists...but how?

I'll put pennies on your eyes and it will go away.

SS is most likely funded through donations from members. Not every member is a depressed teen young adult. Some members are suicidal because of terminal cancer etc. And few of them have deep pockets.

Ads on their other sites may also contribute to this site. I don't know who would advertise on a suicide-focused website, but I'm sure there are tons of advertisers with no pro-life scruples, and heck, this place is far kinder and more low-key than on a least one of the owners' other sites. Regardless, I'm grateful we don't have to deal with ads here, they make me want to kill myself.

Hm interesting that it's a Reddit spinoff. I came here because I had to quit Reddit due to how toxic it is. I have found this community to be amazingly supportive and not like Reddit at all.
