So I have found a bridge that is about 500 feet high from the road deck level to the surface level of the river. My question is if I end up jumping and land on my feet for some reason (most likely due to survival instinct while I'm falling), will I survive or what are the chances I'd survive? Or if I land on any other part of my body besides my head? I read on lost all hope that it should be at least 250 feet for jumping on water, but i'm just scared i'll survive if I don't land on my head even at 500 feet. Are there any jumping techniques to ensure not landing on the feet?

Also, is it better to land on water or a sloped, hard surface like dirt? Because the bridge I've found is only flat where the river lies beneath it. The rest of it that is a hard surface is sloped upwards. I appreciate any help guys.

500 feet - wow! That's an enourmous height, and I think at that height you won't even have to worry about the surface that you'll land on.
The golden gate bridge is famous for suicides and that bridge is only 67 meters / ~215 feet high.

Where is this bridge? I've been toying with jumping as my method recently. It's fast, convenient, and if it's high enough, it's fool proof.
