I've been rejected two times now. They are more willing to prescribe me benzos than meto. It's the last time I ask, it's too embarassing to beg for it 😡

First time 6 months ago was another doctor, and I had just started a dose increase on my mirtazapine antidepressants. So naturally I thought it was a perfect excuse to ask for antiemetics. So I said that I felt severe nausea from doubling my antidepressant dose and it would help get through it until the side effect subsides after a few days. But she replied that the antiemetic that they usually give can worsen depressive symptoms, lol. Even just a few pills? Ridiculous. The second time (yesterday) with a new doctor and a new antidepressant medication I was supposed to start on (Brintellix) I said something similar. They replied in letter after discussing it with another doctor and just said it wasn't a good idea and I should just try to take the Brintellix at night and with some food and just try to endure it. This time it's kind of true though, the Brintellix DOES really give nausea. They even suggested it may just be in my head and suggested I take benzos, lol. As if benzos are less dangerous than meto. Absolute ridiculous nonsense and it ruins my day (week). It was overwhelming stress to even ask since I have severe social anxiety about speaking to strangers, especially autbority. I guess it's a sign that I shojldn't kill myself and just endure half a century of mental torture. I really hate the idea that doctors are gatekeepers of medication and drugs, meanwhile the most destructive drug is totally legal (alcohol) and cancer causing drugs like cigarettes are totally legal too. Fuck this shit! 😡

What worked for me was;
I have very bad migraines and I throw up or feel very nauseous regularly. And my mother in law has Anti emetics (I named the brand) and that I took those and that they worked really well. So that I wanted a prescription of my own.

Me too. It worked. I used an online pharmacy so they didn't know my history

I understand the frustration, but meto is a dopamine blocker, and low levels of dopamine can make you feel pretty bad. If you are already depressed, it is definitely not recommended.

So if you are trying to get a dopamine blocker, I recommend to ask a doctor who doesn't know about your depression.

I know, but a few days of nausea suppression is not going to make the depression that much worse. Many antidepressives are known to cause worsening of depressive symptoms for even the first few WEEKS before they start working and treated the depression. But the patient is told to just endure it. Yet meto suppressing dopamine just a few days is too much? Lol, it's so hypocritical.

I got antiemetics after reporting to my psychiatrist that anxiety, in and of itself, was causing me to vomit. It worked for me, just offering my experience in case you can find a pez dispenser who will give you what you want.

In my case it was the exact opposite. They tried to get me to confess that my nausea is caused by just anxiety, so that a benzo would suffice instead of antiemetics, lol. Ridiculous. I wish I had a pez dispenser. Well I do, they are street drug dealers, lol. But they only have psychotropic drugs not antiemetics, which nobody demands in these markets.

Don't bother with scrips, just use goldpharma.
