I never think of suicide 'as giving up', instead I see it as making a personal decision that we have every right to make. It's taking control over a life that we never asked for. Staying alive is just delaying the inevitable, we will all die eventually someday so I see it as being preferable exiting at a time of my own choosing rather than it being out of my control.
