Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I just wanted surgery to walk again. The surgeons wouldn't give me the surgery because higher risk of mortality with my heavy weight. Now my muscles have undergone atrophy. Even if I lost the weight now it'd take months to walk significant distances like I used to enjoy so so much. I'm stuck in this wheelchair. I hate that everyone is afraid of law suits and being held liable. So basically going to CTB because I couldn't get the surgery to "save my life." Life has such a cruel sense of humor. I just wish I could take one last hike before I CTB but that is impossible.

I don't know what else to say except that I'm so sorry. That's horrible.

edit: I have to admit I find this a little strange too, since before I've had surgeries in the past, I'd have to sign a waiver. Is that not an option? Or are the drs too willing to prioritize life over quality of life? Still terrible.

I've begged multiple surgeons to perform the surgery. I'll ask about a waiver but it probably won't help. IDK surgeons are pussies. Well said they are "too willing to prioritize life over quality of life." They make it sound so simple to "just lose the weight" as they keep saying. In the mean time they won't provide an appetite suppressant or something similar and insurance made me pay out of pocket for a weight loss program. Not to mention my pain management also sucks because of liability. I hate people who abuse(d) pain meds. If they would have provided better pain management I would have been able to exercise longer which would have helped with the weight and the atrophy. So basically I'm left alone without help—I wish I could sue on those grounds but I can't because I'm not rich. LoL

Life is very horrible. I'm sorry you have to go through this. Health problems are capable of torturing us and making our lives a nightmare. I wish you the best, I hope you find peace and freedom from suffering.

It's a horrible cycle, that they won't give you the tools you need. Honestly so much of the pain medication addiction problem lies with the doctors more than the patients, too. Not looking properly into how addictive they could be before prescribing them, many patients got addicted accidentally. It's horrible all around.
