today is Batman Day!!! idk how many users here are comic book/batman fans, but i'm a huge comic book fan/collector. Batman is my favorite comic book character, and my favorite fictional character of all time tbh.

i've lost interest in basically everything, but i still have a soft spot for Batman. today i'm gonna go out and buy all the Batman Day special comic variants .

update: i'm a little disappointed, but still happy. for Batman Day, they released special variants for Absolute Batman #1, Batman and Robin — Year One, Batman: Year Two, a Batman #1 facsimile, and like one other comic that I'm blanking on now. I was only able to visit one store, and all they had was the facsimile . i'm not too disappointed, I got the thing that I was most excited for; but i'm still a little bummed that i couldn't get any of the other comics. i'll probably be able to find them some other time, though.

are you going to play the new lego batman? i heard the gameplay is going to have combat similar to the arkham games, which seems really interesting for a lego game.

Also YES if all this doesn't work out since Lego Batman was literally my childhood(though a lot of lego games were) AND it will be on the PS5 which means I can get fully invested cuz lego are easily the best when i play on the controller; i think it can work well but I'm just worried about how big it'll be since arkham city's charm was that although it isn't as big as all recent 'open' worlds, everywhere felt like it was relevant to the story and jam-packed with so much liveliness yk it fr felt like you were fr stuck in the most crime-filled section of Gotham and was so immersive…

Also sorry to hear about the comics, though it's nice to hear that you got the one you wanted the most; good luck on finding the rest, I usually try to get any hard to get manga off through trades so maybe try that? I'm not sure though on how they'll inflate the comics though

Cool. I didn't even know there was an official day. I know him more through the films rather than the comics but agreed. A very interesting hero. Pretty interesting villains too. It seems like they also have tragic back stories.
