Isopropyl Alcohol

A few weeks ago I drank home made hand sanitiser with 70% proof isopropyl alcohol.

i had read that three people had died in Mexico from it.

I drank 150ml.
My ex hubby called me and knew something was wrong. He called an ambulance

Hospital did nothing except put me on a drip for a few hours then couldn't wait to get rid of me.

i had a banging headache for 48 hours.

i know have 250ml of the mix and I was told that 200ml is fatal.

Anyone tried this before, or do they know of anybody who has passed away drinking isopropyl

This is a terrible way to go and not very effective. You could've easily gone blind or had other lasting damage. I'm glad that you walked away from this seemingly unscathed.

I'm just devastated that the only way to go in UK is hanging, I've tried partial before, and nearly succeeded but SI kicked in.

I almost got hold of SN, but now can't seem to find it in UK

And I don't really think I want to die, I just can't live with Bipolar anymore and what it has led me to do whilst in manic stages

Yes they were treated but only when diagnosed in January
But by then it was too late, as I've lost everything l

If you had searched the forum for info on this method beforehand, you would have realised it was very unpleasant and usually unsuccessful.

I didn't know what was in the hand sanitiser when I drank it. It was only when my hubby called that I learned it was isopropyl

I didn't even think of searching this forum for it. I was just praying what I read on another site, ie you can die from it
