I'm afraid of pain as well, so i decided on attaching a cpap mask to a helium tank. Its painless, will knock me out in a minute, and I'd die in my sleep. its important that the tank is releasing helium at a low pressure because other wise a lung could be burst.

cpap masks have several holes in them. They are not air tight. Have you every looked at one?
The holes are so the pressure doesn't harm you, just as you stated your fear of not having a high pressure.
From my research, it seems like even though cpap masks have holes for this reason, some disposable helium tanks have a high enough pressure to still be harmful in this way. But I could very well be wrongSimilar threads
