Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I lack empathy and can't relate to struggles other then my own. I also hate of being dutiful and serving a moral good or helping a larger cause other then myself because of that and because I don't think I actually want to change, I lived with my delusions with being famous and having a lifelog hedonistic streak or being famous or wanting to childlessly fix a problem without any effort, instead of just actually sucking it up and doing something.

I suppose it depends really. Will doing nothing continue to not affect you in life? To some extent, I'd say a lot of us do altruistic things or pursue goals to benefit ourselves. It's rare (in my experience) to find a totally altruistic person.

But- it likely depends on just how much you neglect the things expected of you or make the decision to do nothing to work towards ambitions.

The likelihood I imagine is that- if you are able bodied and expect other people to carry you- they may resent that and get frustrated with you. Then it depends on whether you can comfortably live with that. Alternatively, they may refuse to keep helping. So then- it's whether you can survive on your own.

It depends on the people around you I suppose and what they expect of you. How conditional their treatment of you is on fulfilling some expectations. With friendships, if it's all take- people may not tolerate that. So- it's kind of whether you can live without people. Or, whether people see other qualities in you to want to be around you.

Regarding pursuing goals and becoming famous- it seems more likely you would be famous for something so- I imagine some effort would be required. Plenty of people are famous for pursuing selfish ambitions though so- that should be possible I imagine. In fact, I imagine a fair amount of famous people do have quite a single minded, selfish streak.

You probably need to weigh it up though. Will not becoming famous really hurt your ego? In which case- is it worth at least trying for? Can you tolerate failure along the way? Maybe never seeming to succeed? That's also a possibility. Or, can you be comfortable aiming for less? I think sometimes it's trying to find the lesser of the evils in life. So- which we can tolerate less or more.

I kinda don't see why people want to be a better person when most of the world sucks in some way. There's no point being a better person because imo you don't benefit from it. People value communication and glamour skills more. Granted you still have to not be a dick in public but you don't have to a good person. Fake it till you make it kinda thing.
But if you want to be famous you kinda have to get lucky or be insanely good at something.
