Curious about ordering 50g (a small packet) of SN to the UK. Will it be suspicious & be confiscated & will the cops get involved?

I think it might be likely to get a welfare visit from the police or a social worker if they do intercept the order.

As for what action they will take, I can't imagine it would be much. I'd not like it's a Class A drug or you have supplier amounts.

My guess it would be just an embarrassing talk and they'd get you to speak to a crisis team. Just a guess though, I have no facts to base my opinion on.

That doesn't seem realistic at all. Suicide accounts for a small, small fraction of all the uses of sodium nitrite, and them sending someone to your house to check in on you on the assumption that you're suicidal with no direct evidence doesn't sound like something they would do.

I have seen reports of people getting police calls, I dont think it is impossible but I dont think it is super likely either.
What you might get more likely is a letter from customs if they intercept it with a warning. I dont think SN is controlled in much general sense so I am not sure on what legal basis they can actually seize it?
The law is very unclear and I couldnt work out if SN is illegal or just companies prefer not to sell it to people due to all the suicides. Restaurants and stuff could easily get it so I am guessing it is not illegal but I have no idea.

God, I wish i was American. I could do this in America with no problems. I really hope customs don't intercept it.

Yeah, I cant understand why they would. It doesnt appear to be illegal from what I researched. I think companies purely avoid selling it because of the attacks from pro-lifers. The American comapnies like Amazon probably just dont care what the pro-lifers complain about.

You can't buy it off Ebay in America, but i'm sure other companies still sell it and ship to America.

Its not a completely regulated material in the sense that it is illegal to possess it as a civilian, but it is one that the law requires sellers to make records of sale especially in cases of "suspicious" transactions, AKA: someone says they want it for private meat curing for personal use without realising 100g of the stuff is enough to preserve over a tonne of meat, way to much for one persons personal use.
You can largely thank the recent suicide of a young fellow for the imposing of these new regulations and laws since he only went and wrote a letter to the local government telling them exactly where he got it from, naming SS in the letter and going as far as to beg them to shutdown the website. After that was when APC stopped selling to private customers and ebay, amazon and others followed suit.

tldr: its not illegal but companies dont want to deal with the paperwork and bad pr that comes with being known as a business willing to sell a peaceful death to people.
