Just wondering because thanks to this site I've discovered that a bunch of methods that "normies" ( i cant think of a better word i'm sorry ) think lead to suicide are actually just ineffective: like dying from an overdose for example.
No. It's very unlikely that you'll ctb just from slashing your wrists, you'd have to cut really deep to bleed enough (the goal being to slash the arteries at the radialis et ulnaris) and it's very difficult to do so because the pain is excruciating to overcome and it's possible you go into shock before you get to do so. Even if you somehow get to the arteries, you're not guaranteed death. It's unnecessarily painful and certainly inefficient.
Cheers!

Nope. Pretty much the only way to die via cutting yourself is to open up an artery. And to do that you'd need a good grasp on your anatomy a very strong will, a high pain tolerance and no (or limited) survival instinct. You'd have to apply a lot of force. Most people simply can't manage it.

It's possible to die from it, however, it's extremely ineffective and hard to pull off. And, your artery isn't the only important thing in your wrist. Your tendon sits there too, so if you cut that and don't CTB, you'll likely lose the ability to move part of your arm + the hand that's on the arm you cut. It's a really unpredictable and ineffective method that is only really used in movies and media.

Yeah, it's very used in media. People legitimately think that as a method along with overdosing. I saw someone making a final video before attempting where they claimed they would be slashing their wrists to die and ofc they didn't. It made me think how many methods people believe would actually work without doing any research and going based off of media.

If you'd bothered to read the rules, it states to use the search feature because your question may have been asked many times before. So no, you haven't wasted my time, because next time you'll use your head and hit the search bar first, and spare us the same old repeats.
