Is it illegal to just try to order SN?

Someone on this forum sent me a link to a SN seller. I tried to purchase it, but I could not finish the order. After I contacted them, they wrote, that they have problems with orders from other countries, so I should write them my order via E-mail. They noted, that I should give them my address and phone number. Do you think they would in the worst case report me to the police for trying to order something illegal, or will they just refuse my order?

This seller is located in eastern europe, I live in central europe.

Oh thanks, I'm worried abou anything right now, basically paranoid.

Do you know, whether SN is legal in central europe? I think it's restricted to sell it to private persons, but I don't know whether the purchase or possesion is chargable. I only seem to find contradictory informations.

Legal, but sometimes certain vendors might specify that it is a restricted product only available to businesses, schools, etc.

It is legal in europe but just a reminder to people that are worried: In the newest version of the peaceful pill book it has been stated, that people who bought sodium nitrite received welfare checks from the police. I would just tell them, that I don't want to talk to them about that matter. If you live with another person, that knows that you are suicidal, a welfare check could arouse some suspicion.

Since it's legal, I don't think there is going to be trouble with customs.

I suppose you are right, but in another thread here I read:

The problem is, that I can find no clear statements in the net wether it's legal or not my country. At another forum it has been mentioned, that sn is indeed illegal to buy and possess it in Germany, but no sources were mentioned, so it could be bullshit.

German wikipedia just states, that only curing salt with a concentration lower than 0.5% of sn can be offered on the market, which doesn't tell, if it's illegal to buy pure sn.

I ordered it from two sources, one within the EU, one from Canada, so there's no way out, I hope everything turns out fine.

No, but I bought it from different countries, I hope the police doesn't show up, as it as been mentioned in pph. I don't have to talk to them, but I live with another person so that could arouse suspicion.

SN is usually used in food and also can be used as rust inhibitor, so if you have a vehicle, in a workshop, anything involving maintenance or metals, you can use it as a reason if asked. Hope it helps.
