  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I can't see God as being loving any more, but I'm still scared God exists and wants me to suffer.

Wait, I thought that was @sserafim! :sunglasses:

My father brought me up to believe in fundamentalist Christianity, the kind where you go to hell to suffer for eternity if you don't believe in and worship God. I don't believe in that or any other version of God now, so it doesn't scare me. What does scare me is the kind of religious hardliner who wants to push their beliefs on others.

There are times when we are punished, but usually God acts as supportive force. I am currently reading a book called "The Artist way by Julian Cameron. and it has 12 week study course on how to become more creatively and stipiritualy alingned with your personal dreams and goals. It's basicly a road map or guide.

If there is a God. He made me this miserable since I was in preschool. So all of this is his fault. And it's extraordinary I made it 37 years. No I'm not scared at all.

What I do think is more likely, I f'd up in a past life and I was sent here to be punished. I think I have bad karma or something.

Or this is all just a completely meaningless bizarre and very painful simulation.

I believe we're all God anyway. God is all that is.

A little bit off topic here:

Though no longer a believer of a faith I once considered flawless; I still have, in the darkest corners of my mind, that tiny idea about something or someone beyond me that will punish me in ways no human can imagine for CTB.

I still have a residue of that follower I once was that tells me I will be put on trial the same way the worst humans in history have been.

Then I ask myself, why do (as far as I know) all religions condemn CTB as one of the biggest offenses to whatever main entity they adore? Is it really because that almighty super-being feels hurt when you CTB? Is it really because CTB undermines any attempts for humankind to reach a superior state of evolution via a set of moral values? Or is it just because it undermines that critical resevoir of humans required to feed social systems that disfavor the poor and favor the rich?

So far, I always find myself choosing the last reason as I now believe many of the principles dictated by religion are just schemes to control the masses.

(Then again, the fear of some god's revenge on me in the afterlife is still in me)

Yes it feels like a bizarre torture simulation.

No. I believe something like that exists and that it influences our lives and what happens sometimes, but I don't think it concerns itself with noticing what individual people do and their lives. I think when I die I'll either be nothing afterwards, just dark then nothing, or I'll move on to another place which isn't heaven or hell, just another existence.

If there is one, definitely I'm afraid of them. Their moral compass defies comprehension. They seem to create or allow suffering regardless of how good or bad a creature is. Whether they are religious or not. There's no getting away from it. I guess the most devout will say that suffering isn't bad. I'd have to agree to disagree.

I truly hope there isn't a God. Even if that means passing up on the more optimistic outcome that there may also be a heaven. That's fine. I've no interest in being judged by some narcissistic, psychopathic entity as to whether I'm good enough to enter. Sadly though, if there is, we'll get no choice and I expect I'm already condemned.
