just a rant cus they piss me off, but they go like "erm i think women owe me sex and i will assault them if they dont give me it" and don't realise that thinking is partially why women won't ever trust them lmao. how can you see women as less than human and expect any of them to respect you? especially when they then go and cheer on violence towards women (and usually many minority groups like lgbt people or poc or etc)

an oomf of mine was venting about how she gets sexually harassed alot and some fucker replied like "damn thats bad but i think its just as bad that alot of men are lonely" or something along those lines as if those two things are in any way similar, and this isnt even the first time ive seen mfs be like this.

I hate that "incel" has been stereotyped to mean "hates women" now. The literal definition of an incel is an involuntary celibate person, and femcel is the same deal. A lot of people nowadays are considered incels. It gives us outcasted virgins a bad look, like its our fault we live in a shallow ass society, and I hate being grouped with bigoted people...

I hate that "incel" has been stereotyped to mean "hates women" now. The literal definition of an incel is an involuntary celibate person, and femcel is the same deal. A lot of people nowadays are considered incels. It gives us outcasted virgins a bad look, like its our fault we live in a shallow ass society, and I hate being grouped with bigoted people...

i mean by technical definition it does just mean someone who hasnt had sex, but culturally that's not what it means at all, and the cultural definition matters more. the word "based" used to just mean like someone who wasnt afraid to speak their mind, but it evolved into "i agree with this" or "this is good."
this has hapened many other times, language judt naturally evolves. the only reason it'd give you a bad look is if you tried to adopt the identity despite the currently accepted meaning

But theres a thin like saying which Ive seen - wemon are only good for yknow insert misogynistic here. Also that girls only want chad and they deseserve a girls for their suffering. Which sound kinda backwards.

Can men also suffer any abuse? Yeah. Is not as reported as wemon but is there.

both can be evil but only one is systematically privileged when it comes to this stuff. similar to how white people can technically experience racism in the west but it's a tiny issue compared to the systemic racism poc people exist to and the scales of each arent comparable

this is a validating thread.. it's like talking to a wall sometimes and it feels so terribly draining and isolating to lay everything out and just have ppl worm their way out of it through sheer deflection and unwillingness to hear it. i think systemic issues might be hard for some to fully comprehend without personal experience, whether thats firsthand or secondhand through someone close to u.

theres the idea of fish hook theory , where centrism serves as a guise for unpacked far-right sympathies and i think its applicable here. i see confusion from just not having a fuller understanding of politics sometimes, too. liek conflating white liberalism with everything further left of it, which causes problems becoz there are genuine problems there that u are so close to understanding...

but it's like trying to tear down so many walls that ppl have built internally (and understandably, under the system it's by design) with a spoon . i wish there was an easier way because it just distracts from creating meaningful change that benefits everyone
