I think the figures for the death penalty were similar but they didn't put it to vote in case it got passed. I remember disability rights groups were severely opposed as they thought it would morph into pressure on them to ctb.

Remember they know what's best for you…..apparently so it could be some time to come

That is good news, I do believe it will eventually become legal for those with terminal illnesses, but I think we all deserve that option to end our suffering. Allowing us a peaceful exit would mean a much more compassionate society.

Yes and it starts with politicians because some of them believe and look as though they have lived forever. I dont want to get to a point where i shit and piss in my pants. And yet many people do just that.

Well ' terminal ' may not end there, as there are conversations floating about ' non terminal' and people in pain, all could be interpreted many ways. The bill to make it lawful has already passed major hurdle in UK

We passed a bill last year where I live and assisted suicide is now available but only for terminally ill for six or less months to live
