The truth is that not long ago I was in psychiatric treatment with anxiolytics and antidepressants, I think I have about 6 months of treatment, but the truth is that I feel very tired, I do not know if I have little time and so there are still no great effects. To be honest I think I am still young, I am 23 years old and I never imagined at this age to be so medicated during the day. I feel that I am falling apart inside and out, my image is that of a person without expression of feelings because of so much antidepressant.

Does anyone have good experiences of psychiatric treatments that have helped them overcome the desire for ctb?

I've taking medications (anxiolytics and antidepressants) for 7 or 8 years (don't remember exactly). Some have been super strong... now i'm used to the 8 medications I take daily. But I'm also tired of taking them. They are locked for security reasons (security box).

You could try ECT (electroshock therapies). They didn't function for me but may be good for you. They are supposed to ease med dependancy. For me, they were painful. I couldn't walk for a day everytime I took a session. But consult your doctor.

Eitherway, be well and hope
this helps.

I can totally relate, when I went through a crisis a while ago I became so sick of taking all the tablets for what I felt was no benefit.
I'm a similar age to you, so I get it.
If they've given you treatment though, try and stick with it, it may be benefitting you in ways you haven't realised?
It is, as always, your decision though!

This is the experience I hear with a lot of people and pills. They don't necessarily cure your problems and people get exhausted after trying with them over and over.
