Discussion Im so fucked my college found out i think

So i was on campus and i used their wifi to go on this website and i forgot that i used my college email to connect to the wifi so they know its me that went on it and after that i kept getting messages that someone Might be tampering with my network or phone and wierdly my VPN got disconnected randomly and the wifi stopped working for me only and my friends have it working for them im so nervous they definitely know i went on it i might just say i was intrested in the kenneth law case and wanted to see what he posted since i watched the channel 4 documentary on him (thats actually how i found out about this website) but im so scared

its most likely that nothing will happen honestly. your university's IT team is generally not going to look through your history unless there's been some criminal complaint lodged against you. i've ordered drugs on my college wifi signed in to my email, i wouldn't worry if i was you, really.

Act like nothing is wrong. Play dumb.

And remember that the person you talk to is some underpaid schlub who absolutely does not want to deal with whatever shit this is. They're an underpaid IT help desk person, they are not trained to deal with this, nor are they required by their job, nor do they care. This is something that got flagged by an automatic system, there is not a person on the other end watching what you are doing.

I 100% guarantee that they do not get paid enough to deal with this. What they get paid to do is deal with your complaints about not being able to connect with WiFi.

If THEY happen to bring up why you were blocked, act dumb. Act confused. And then maybe "remember" that you looked something up that someone told you about. They don't care. It's fine. They just want you to be on your way

sometimes colleges block VPNs, tho one could merely go to IT and ask for help connecting.

additionally, if ur using windscribe or other VPNs with a Kill Switch, the Kill Switch could be blocking network access to prevent traffic escaping the VPN.

most websites use https to encrypt the website contents unless they try to use a hack to supply fake https certificates

that means they may know the domain (like onlyfans.com) but not whether you were went to an onlyfans page for a cool new band you like or for something else

ironically, the tampering thing could relate to man in the middle attacks and fake certs, but it's so sketchy to do that so a college network probably wouldn't do something that bad. it's something you would expect from hackers or dictators, not a college. you should be able to test if you want to determine if there are fake certs
