After my last failed attempt today I did some digging and found I have a rather tall suspension bridge not that far away from me at about 2h of train/bus journey and now Im seriously considering going there, at its tallest point its 120m tall (or 393 feet) and while it has guard rails I already looked at them, they are easily climbable, there is also a forest below that could catch my fall but Im pretty sure I found a spot that would drop me on a rock though because of the height Id fall from its quite likely I wouldnt be able to land in my intended spot though even then the absolute tallest a tree can get in that area is about 70m (or 229 ft) with the average being between 30-50m (or 98-164ft which would drop me about 180-246ft ) and even should I hit one of those trees Id still be falling about 115ft (for the absolute tallest) beforehand so its probably gonna be lethal regardless (especially if I hit my neck on a tree branch or something) and its not even guaranteed that I hit a tree, I could very well hit my intended spot, the last concern I have is witnesses because its a public bridge but then again once I decide to do it Ill be gone quicker than they can react and also Id go there near closing time when there should be barely anyone around so that probably wont be an issue in the first place and bc its above a forest there is no way any emergencies arrive in time (on the tiny tiny chance I should survive the fall but even then Id probably not live longer than like a minute or 2) If anybody has something to add that Id need to watch out for or something I could do to increase success that I forgot to think about itd be greatly appreciated, Im gonna check it out soon and report my findings

This is from 40'. I woke up with a partially shattered spine, they removed several chunks of my spine to relieve swelling and weakened it even more. I had to have rods placed that take up the majority of my spine, which limits movement. I was paralyzed and had to learn to walk again. Everything below my chest is affected, I have so much false nerve pain, my body is on fire and twitching, constantly. My organs don't even function correctly anymore, I'm sick all of the time, not processing foods correctly my body can't regulate temperature, I'm cold when it's hot, sweating when it's freezing. I ruined my life. I have completely burdened my family ever since. I still have all of the same mental health issues. I did well for a little bit there but my pain is so intense now that I can't even handle the appointments anymore. Regardless of my mental health, I want to die. It just made me furious that my brain was working okay and that was a possibility prior to doing this to my body. I would never advocate for doing this method.

Oh god I'm so sorry that you had to and still are suffering like this, I knew it could happen but actually meeting somebody it did happen to is kinda scary, the fear of failure and ending up similarly (or worse) is what psychologically held me back from doing it so far (and hopefully I don't have to consider it again as I acquired some sn which is def the better method)

I am so sorry this happened to you! That looks incredibly painful.

I am guessing by "40' " you mean 40 feet? This is well below the recommended height for suicide and well below the height from which OP intends to jump.

Also update here, I checked it out and yes, there is a spot that can drop me straight onto rocks, the railings are easily climbable and near closing time there are barely any people around so this should work great (though in the time of me checking it out I managed to acquire some sn so I think I'm gonna go with that first and just use the bridge as backup should I somehow fail)
