Hello, I've been fighting a really long court battle for over 2 years now. The lawyer is telling me to suggest the court in a plea to take 3-6 months but it could be more. It may not seem like a whole lot but I'm also a trans woman and afraid of what I'll be dealing with.
There's a possibility that the jail I'm at will let me serve my time with electronic monitoring at my house. I'm only allowed to leave for work. This would seem like a much better deal but I'm not sure how likely this outcome would be.
