Discussion If suicide condemns you to being a ghost, where would you prefer to die/ haunt? 👻

I watched a series on Netflix the other day about people experiencing really scary hauntings.

Do you ever worry you may end up stuck haunting where you die? Especially if it's a more unnatural death- like suicide. I do sort of vaguely worry I might end up haunting my own home. Then, I start to feel bad about people who may move in here. I wonder if you can find ways to be a non threatening, friendly ghost. I wonder if people are put off buying, if a person has taken their own life somewhere.

I wonder where it would be most interesting to haunt. But then, I probably wouldn't fancy dying somewhere random.

Would you want to be a scary ghost? I suppose there is someone I'd be tempted to go full poltergeist on.

Would you be more naughty/ wicked if there weren't consequences do you suppose?

I'd want to haunt some secluded place like the snowy regions of the mountains. I don't really have an interest to haunt people, I just want to disappear completely.

An office building. I would be an ass to the CEO in their giant, gaudy office and nice to the people stuck in cubicles. Plus I would have an endless supply of gossip to listen to.

This is silly because ghosts definitely don't exist. That being said I'd love to be a ghost and follow my loved ones around. I could love them and protect them. Especially people like my ex. I wouldn't want to get back with them, but I still love them. So I could float just around them and beam them love. Like a guardian angel. I wouldn't want to be a scary ghost, or be stuck haunting one place.

Haunt someone's internet router and make it go off when they are playing a game or watching a video. When they call a technician I'll just drop the act, then immediately start before the technician can get to their car and drive off, this way the person would call the technician back in to show them (at that time I'll stop yet again) and do this until the person loses all credibility to every technician

This might be a bit cruel on my part, but I'd hope to haunt a nursery. Babies are so precious and innocent, and I'd like to think I could use my ghostly powers to visit punishment on people who neglect or hurt them. So glad I didn't see too many instances of that at the hospital as a student, but the ones you do see stick with you.

I would hunt people who had done me dirty in live. Notably my primary and high school bullies, that one friend who betrayed me, and that professor who always gives me a hard time for no reason. I know this is kinda petty but I don't really care since I'm already dead

i think i'd want to be in a forest far away from human civilization and "befriend" the animals. hopefully they don't believe in ghosts. i'd sit near them and watch the shimmering lake.

alternatively, if i died in a concert venue i could attend shows for free forever, maybe even help out with the stage props...

I really hope we don't end up being ghosts. Now it's kind of troubling to think about. Would we even know that we are a ghost? I believe ghosts are real but haven't actually thought about the possibility of becoming one.

I'll probably be busy hanging out with my dad, talking with my grandma and playing with my old dog but here's some other shit I would do as a ghost/spirit:
- Watch over/protect my old homies, nephew, and cousins
- Fuck with all my bullies
- Freak out my old homies anytime they get high
If I had to "haunt" anywhere, it'd be my ex's sorority house. I wouldn't even do anything malicious or perverted, I'd just be the ghost of the sorority house lol.

Several places come to mind.
For one, I'd just be a friendly but mischievous poltergeist haunting both my old house and my ex's house just to let them know "Hey! I'm a ghost, but I still remember what you did!"
Though I'd also haunt actually awful people and scare them straight into being good.
