Discussion If SN is an extreme eye irritant as it says in the label how is it not going to burn when ingested?

It says in the label of all SN lab grade bottles that it is an extreme eye irritant so how is it not also gonna burn my mouth and throat too?? Thanks

I can drink coffee but I don't want coffee poured into my eyes, there has to be some difference.

If you get table salt in a wound it burns. But it doesn't burn when ingested.
Basically the same idea.

I guess it says so because SN contains nitrogen which can affect on your eyes.
There are lot things I would eat but I wouldn't put them in my eye, for example jajapeno peppers. I like eating it but I would never want them near my eyes.
