it was a scam, the homeless guy only got 76.000$ out of 400.000$ raised on gofundme, the rest the scammers blew it on expensive clothing etc..

But its not the scam that makes this disgusting because at least that homeless guy got 76.000$, its that fact that there are thousands of homeless people in US and no one really cares about them and this guy only gotting attention because of social media shows how despicable those who donated the money really are.
They can cross paths with dozens of homeless people everyday and ignore them completely but if a "beautifull" story involving one of their middle class pops up on their facebook stories..they will give a 10$ donation and believe they actually made a diference and will sleep better that night feeling good about themselves..these middle class people are fucking disgusting

Scammers everywhere. Some time ago I read about a couple who told their 8-year-old son that he had cancer and was going to die in 6 months. Then they asked for donations and got plenty. If I remember correctly they landed in jail.
