• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I want to be honest that I'm concerned about health issues from my suicide attempt over a month ago but I'm scared they'll make me go to the psych ward. I told them it was an accident before, if I'm honest It's a suicide attempt can they send me ? Specifically in the US

Canada being close to US rules, no they cant. They can't hold you on past things. As long as you're serious about being ok and whatnot you can tell them you had yourself hung up last night.
The problem comes with current or future harm to you or others. Then they will hold you.

They won't section you for a past attempt. They will only section you if you tell them that you currently have a plan and are going to act on it in the immediate future. If you want to talk to a professional about past attempts or suicidal thoughts, it's important to tell them that these thoughts are very passive, and you have no plans or means to act on them.

No they can't admit you unless you are in imminent danger at the time of the conversation. Even then a lot of psychiatrists don't want to involuntary commit.
