If I do SN but I've eaten within 24 hours, what is likely to happen?

I'm about ready to CTB. I've wait to fast so I don't throw up but I don't want to be here anymore.

From what I've read, it's different for everyone but basically you want an empty stomach so it absorbs faster and you can tell if you vomited the SN.

Is there anything I can say that will help you feel comforted?

I'm not sure, I'm ready but scared. If I do this I'm scared I'll get nervous and SI will kick in. But I'm probably going to do this tomorrow night on my birthday. I don't think anyone will miss me and I'm ready to go.

As for eating within 24 hours, from what I've read it's recommended to take SN on an empty stomach of you want to truly ctb. I think I read once that, depending on your metabolism, that can be anywhere from 4-8 hours.

So basically bare minimum without eating OR drinking is 4-8 hours? If I do it I think I'd try for at least 12 hours without either, but aim as close to 24 hours as I can get without either.
