Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

If I decide not to CTB one of my main anxieties in the future is being homeless or not being able to work or find a job. My parents are paying for my college so I can study anything right now. Is it worth it? If you could go back in time what advice would you have for your 20 year old self. I love art and music and dream of learning more about that, but I'm scared I won't find a job

I spent a lot of time in my early 20s focusing on things that didn't matter, along with doing what I thought was right instead of what I wanted.

If you decide to keep going, do what you want to do. If you like music and art, then go for it. Look into it more and see what you'd be interested in specializing in.

Don't let your fears of "what if" get in the way, as it typically will stop you from trying. There was so much stuff I was scared of doing, and I wish I had just gone for it.

Just remember what you want most, is the only important thing.

So I don't know where you are, but assuming it's America, unless you're going into a highly specialized field, your bachelor's degree might not have much bearing on the jobs you have after graduation. Are you in college now? I would highly, highly recommend going to the career center or your advisor (again, assuming you have these tools available). I remember that feeling very well—I was overwhelmed, didn't quite know what I wanted to do, had all these options, but there was a time constraint. Also remember that most people change jobs over their lifetimes and many even change career paths completely. Best of luck to you.

just be careful and plan and definitely seek academic advisors or career counsellors. make sure to look at job prospects / the job market and what it will be like in the near future. it sucks to say but now a days a lot of degrees these days are just useless pieces of paper. you really have to grind to make it in college. people in trades, freelancing, businesses, etc. can end up making more than college graduates.

I'm sorry you're going through this. In college I completely burned out and ended up homeless. I was lucky enough to have a car for a few years which helped a lot.
Also, at you're age, most major cities in the US have youth homeless shelters for anyone under 25. Its still fucking hell but they are far nicer than the main shelters i've seen and have a lot better resources since the community likes to donate to "sad baby orphans" vs adults who in their minds are all violent addicts. Theres lots of other tricks like showering at the gym that can make youth homelessness not too bad for awhile. Having college secured is a pretty huge plus.
The big thing is being homeless absolutely fucks you're brain. I avoided every vice and tried to do nothing but work and save money and it still took me years to get stable. I don't think im ever not going to feel like "a homeless person". Absolutely not something i can go back to.
Its an unfair spot you're in. Wishing you the best
