If I am involuntarily admitted after attempting, will I be able to do VSED (stop eating and drinking)?

They will check to see if you've been eating or at least see if you eat with everybody in the mess hall. They will catch on quickly that you're trying to starve yourself and end up hooking you up to a feeding tube and forcefeed you a liquid diet.

There was a guy who did that in my ward, except he would eat and then vomited it all out afterwards in the toilet. But his excuse was that he didn't want the "bio-chips" to be implanted in him via hospital food

I tried this one, actually. Well, my reason for admission wasn't a failed attempt, but I was involuntarily admitted nonetheless. Thank god I did not get forcefed but on day 3 or so, I was (involuntarily) transferred to a medical hospital and (involuntarily) given iv fluids. Shortly thereafter I gave up and started eating again. Not much use in refusing food while being forcibly rehydrated.

So sadly, it's probably not the best strategy. You'd be better off playing nice in the psych ward and pretending to care about recovery so you can get your ass back home and attempt again (if you so choose) in safety.

Yes they will first hook you up to an IV if you are dehydrated and they will eventually force feed you too.

There is another thread from someone who had a similar plan/hope to VSED under sedation at a hospital. This will not work. Healthcare workers have sworn an oath to keep you alive at all costs.

IMO You'll only harm yourself and your organs with VSED. You will eventually be found, even doing this at home, and you will be "saved". Only to then struggle with real physical problems brought on by VSED (depending how far you get with it).

Unless you live alone, have no friends, family or social contacts, it will simply take too long to die without being found.

That's exactly what I don't have. So it can work. In combination with others methods to speed up the process.
"Sworn an oath"; to keep prolonging the suffering, trying to align it to their views. talk about a lab rat to them.
I've lost so much weight to VSED that I went this far
