i won't tell my mother about my urge to suicide, not anymore

nothing happens, i ony let her worried. i won't talk about that anymore, but still i feel like i have to tell that to someone.

I never see it as a good thing to tell family members about suicidal thoughts. In my case they would constantly watch me and it would make it difficult to actually ctb. They would not accept my decision.

Opening up to people, especially ones who know us, can be stunningly dangerous. I did that once & got thrown in a ward like a prisoner. Later lost housing and job because of it. And the person I opened up to told me never to call her again when I got out. So much for, "If you need help, just reach out to your community."

If you're an adult, be very careful about opening up to people. Stay safe.

I agree with you--it's what (most of us?) we need. But too often, doing what we need can get us is far worse trouble. :( I've learned that, other than anonymous people online, I cannot trust anyone with how I feel. My best friend from school had me institutionalized. Not only did the cops assault me while forcing me to the hospital, but I lost my housing when I got out. And once this was on my record, it destroyed several job opportunities. And my best friend vanished after. Oh, then I got slapped with over $10K in medical bills, including one for the emergency transport to the hospital.

Lesson learned: keep my big mouth shut.

I have the same issue. My mum would be devastated if I killed myself.
