• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

According to eminent psychologist Thomas Joiner, most suicide decedents, even rampant alcoholics, are found to have zero blood alcohol in autopsy. This is believed to be because suicide is an act requiring sheer focus, and victims may become too nervous to drink shortly before their death.

This isn't to say it can't be helpful as a kind of numbing agent though

I think those who use hanging (full suspension) are more likely to beat SI because once they have their gear in place, it's literally a split-second decision to jump or let go. Just like it is with gunshots and jumping.
With SN for example I feel that one has time to ponder over, mix it, not drink it, drink it, throw it up, change one's mind, call for help etc. Same goes for ODing.
This is why it is said that the most brutal methods are also the most reliable.
