One caveat is that it must work on Linux, although that is a large percentage of games at this point.

What are y'all playing right now, and what would you recommend? Looking to get myself out of the perpetual "queue deadlock" cycle, and find something with engaging and fresh gameplay, and possibly a story I can get hooked into.

oh woah i had no idea they were making dlc for that game!

Games I play are usually hero shooters on repeat, and some indie games. TF2, Overwatch, and Deadlock come to mind. I loved the hell out of Mordhau for a time. I mostly play multiplayer, but have enjoyed select singleplayer games like Cult of the Lamb and Slay the Spire. I'm not a fan of big AAA games that make my computer cry, lol.

I've spent a lot of time on league, but that makes me feel even worse so I try to avoid it. I'm also playing cult of the lamb right now, what a coincidence. Couldn't get into slay the spire, unfortunately bc apparently it's a great game. Haven't played the others.

Some of my friends play a lot of league. It doesn't work on linux, though, so I haven't really gotten into it. Deadlock is the same type of game, and I also find myself coming out of the experience feeling worse than I started. Less often than Overwatch, though.

Cult of the Lamb is outstanding!! I played it when I had a switch OLED and maaaan the colours are pretty. My cult was entirely composed of cats.

my condition makes me only able to play games that aren't stressful and don't require much thinking, so i've been trying to play the cozy genre of games more. what linux distro are you on? i used to be on endeavour(arch), but i switched to mint recently (with about 50 distros in between)

I am currently running Kubuntu until Mint Cinnamon adds full support for Wayland later this year. KDE is almost there for me, but Cinnamon is lighter and more predictable.

I've been setting up a Nintendo Switch emulator tonight, and might give Animal Crossing another go. Cozy sounds really nice right about now. Ever try it?

Cinnamon has an experimental implementation of Wayland that is very very broken last I checked. If you're using it just fine, though, I may give it another go. The feature-parity to X11 is going to come with their update in December.

I've been quite enjoying Payday 2, it's a lot of fun, although solo can be a bit boring sometimes...
If you ever decide to play it, I'm down to play!

I looked in my Steam library, and it turns out I do own it. Probably from some bundle I must've bought years ago. Payday 2 is a classic, just haven't given it the time yet.

I'd love to play sometime, been needing some people to play games with recently :)

Second Payday 2 it's fun. I'd also give Deep Rock Galactic a try it's one of the best co-op shooters I've played. Helldivers 2 is also fun but the devs can be a bit out of touch, and there's too many MTXs for my liking.

One game I've really been enjoying is For The King 2. It's a casual turn-based RPG. It's fun with friends if you have any to play with but can be played alone too.

If you need any recommendations for singleplayer games let me know since those are usually what I like but I know you said you prefer multiplayer games.
