I know it's been a little bit since it all happened but the fact that he is gone has just hit me. I'm sad I'll never have someone for a goto for challenging my beliefs. I've been trying to stay out of politics since his passing but now I can't find someone like him. It is so sad, I think I'm just going to stop watching entertainment tonight. I need to lay in bed and deal with this new conflict in me. Why do I miss him? I feel so strange.

as expected, my parents still listen to his stuff and talk about him~ tbh, there's definitely numerous far worse right wingers in this regard, but I dislike how he sometimes had a demanding tone~ I forget if he ever had the "I don't care"/"facts don't care about your feelings" tone (which is even worse~ :/) tho~

For whatever it's worth, I can relate to this. He gave me a rare insight into Christian conservative beliefs, facing topics that are hard to defend.
I'm also sad, because of how his demise discourages transparency in thought and speech.

Killing him discourages publicly revealing conservative Christian ideas and agendas.
I think that gives rise to lots of problems, including secretive echo chambers and covert operations.

It's by no means the end of free expression, but I think it's a clear step in the wrong direction.
