• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

And yet, I feel alone. It's so hard, for one, to tell if people are being genuine about them, or if they are venting and using it as an analogy.

Either way I try to be kind, to tell them I understand, but the topic of even thinking about suicide is so taboo, no one wants to elaborate on their feelings, and I doubt they understand how serious I am when I say I get it, and I'm here for them.

I know there's not much I can do to help, but I just don't want them to feel alone. These ctb feelings, whatever their sources or circumstances stem from, are so very isolating. It's difficult knowing that so many of my friends and family are likely going through this same loneliness.

It makes it more difficult, because I've basically decided I'm going to ctb someday, even if I don't know when. And yet, I can't talk about it with anyone either. (And if I'm being honest, it's a little painful that no one asks, but I am quite used to it.) That's why here is such a blessing, it's nice to talk openly with people who understand.

To me, it is understandable as to why so many people are suicidal, we live in a world with unlimited potential for suffering after all. It is such a cruel and unfair life. I wish you the best in whatever happens.

I can't decide whether "like gravitates to like" or whether the whole darned world is or has been actively suicidal, but I've had a surprising number of people bring up their past suicide attempts in casual conversation. And I have very rarely if ever reciprocated.
