Been listening to "Leave Out All the Rest" by Linkin Park.

I know, the whole "depressed person listening to Linkin Park" thing is kind of a cliche. But right now some of these lyrics are really connecting with me in a new way.

Although I'm not even sure who I'm singing it to. Not really a lot of people left to feel that way.

I guess it's just a fantasy in a way. It's comforting for me to think there's someone who would care and would remember me.

Why does it matter if it feels like a cliche? Listen to whatever you want. Music is music doesn't matter if it has a billion views or its some obscure abstract fusion that nobody else listens to, if it's speaks to you who cares

Just want to clarify: I don't care if it's cliché or not for myself. I will definitely listen to whatever I want to and I don't care what anyone else thinks of it. I just meant in the sense of me making a post on it here that I wanted to aknowledge to everyone that "Yes, I know, I'm probably not the first person here to listen to Linkin Park or am saying much knew here."

Cool, it's probably just me projecting, I listen to a lot of mainstream, then I see all these people listening to depressing indie stuff and I think I must be doing it wrong.

I don't have much positive to say about myself, but one of the few things that I do like about myself is that I've never given a shit what anyone else thought of me.

So my advice is: Just listen to whatever you want. There is no "wrong" when it comes to music. There is only enjoying or not enjoying and that's a personal thing. If you enjoy it, you're doing it right.

I've actually been thinking of covering this. I'm not a very good singer but this song has really been digging into my skin the last couple of years.
This and Lost have a special place in my heart.
