Happiness is an emotion caused by a mixture of neurochemicals in the brain - they are your chemicals, so yes your own happiness does belong to you, and you do deserve to feel happy if that is what you wish.I relate. I haven't been happy in so long I literally get uncomfortable and skeptical in fleeting moments of what I think are happiness.
