I asked them if it was 100% necessary to have the permission of a family member or a friend to acces euthanasia.
I'm not sure if they will answer but I'll update if it is the case. I wanted to contact them since a long time. I don't really want to die in Switzerland, but I'm just curious about what they can tell me about it. I don't want to spend 10 000 CHF to die with strangers, but they have the peaceful protocol, so I don't think they'll accept me, but I don't exclude this option. The center is 2 hours near my location, but I'm agoraphobic and I cannot travel. But if they tell me it's possible for me to get euthanasia, I guess I could maybe talk about it to my family.
I'm disaled and things are getting worse. People who have access to assisted suicide are "lucky". They can say goodbye properly. Damn it's so sad to die alone with painful methods

I read a post here and the person said he / she didn't get an answer from them. I'm not sure they will answer.
Very interested in this.

Good luck 🍀

About three weeks ago I emailed Final Exit here in the US about an assisted suicide. They called me back a few days later and we talked at length, and from what I gathered I probably won't qualify because of my age (too young) and I am not terminally ill.

I told them that I live in chronic pain, which was a half truth, but didn't mention anything about my battle with major depressive disorder, anxiety or PTSD. I knew that once they knew about that, I would be denied. They don't assist those with mental illness but instead focus on those who are elderly and/or terminally ill.

I hope that you find the answers and the painless exit you seek and the peace you deserve.

How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks 🙏

I find it completely unfair and illogical to dismiss mental illnesses (which are very often worse than physical illnesses). These laws are always created by healthy people, that's what revolts me the most !

So, I got a response today by e-mail. (It's called Pegasos in fact, and not Pegasus as I wrote, nevermind).
They told me I'm too young and I need documents telling my family is OK (will official notary documents). If I were older (they say around 70), things are easier for an assisted suicide. But I won't stay here and wait until 2052 !!...
My family will never be OK, and I didn't expect any other response from them, but I was just curious about this organization.
Anyway, I don't want to spend 10 000 CHF for a little N bottle. I have all the stuff I need with SN protocol, so for the moment it's my method.

Are you based in the UK? I've been rejected by two solicitors who specialize in notary public work. Apparently, no one wants to touch it due to the legal and regulatory concerns. 🤷‍♂️

I didn't ask Dignitas but they have the same laws in Switzerland so I doubt I'll have another response. But I can try to see what they think.

The problem is not the law, the problem is that politics is hijacking the jurisdiction and therefore that you cannot rely on a judge anymore to defend and obey the constitutions.
