I had a gw2 account that I completely nuked one day because I thought my "gaming addiction" was holding me back. I went out and told my mom how proud I was that I did that and she was basically like wtf and then I was too. I rebuilt it in a couple of months.

Turns out everyone has coping mechanisms and sometimes destroying them is just shooting yourself in the foot

I like to play Path of Exile. My laptop is shit, unstable connection. I force myself to play Hardcore SSF. I inevitably die because bad laptop and or skill check. Then I delete all stash items and fully migrate all progress so SSF is almost fully reset to nothing. Rinse, Repeat, it feels so bad but I've been playing this way for years. Help
