Our brains are designed for survival, not for life in the modern world; evolution, which accumulates errors over time, has not kept pace with the rapid changes of recent centuries, where one change triggers even more changes. In this case, it is impossible to give a general answer to these questions, given the multitude of factors influencing the situation. On the other hand, this is precisely what makes you human in an objective sense; if you stop feeling, you will lose yourself, and existence will turn into an absurd dream. Perhaps your feelings stem from a discrepancy between certain things or a comparison to the norm you once had. My comment is more about reflecting on the nature of this state than understanding it, so it is unlikely to be helpful.
