I hate the monetary system

While writing my charity will, I realised just how much I hate the monetary system. I mean we put value on people, animals and nature like everything is a commercialised bar of soap. Resources are scarce as it is and the few have more than they will ever need. Charities are important but we shouldn't have to depend on them to help people who are less fortunate. Everybody should be looked after anyway despite what job they do or don't. It's just basic decency and respect.

100% agree with everything you said. Anyone with even the weakest observational skills and common sense logic would have to agree with you. One thing that irritates me is how woefully inadequate and corrupt this system is, the amount of disparity it creates, yet it's defended vehemently at every turn. Even by those who are actually worse off because of it, they can't see that we could do so much better because they're so poisoned by it, and this is the world we were born into, so there's nothing else to compare it to.

We were screwed as soon as they took us off the gold standard imo. The bigwigs can print as much money as they like for selfish and nefarious purposes to secure their interests in the short term, while we at the bottom have our purchasing power stolen from us day by day through inflation and currency debasement. This is going to escalate to a real shitshow in the future.

I might have known some small minded imbecile @Bootleg Astolfo, would bring up communism. I mean, you talk about real issues and you have to hurl back some kind of petty insult with nothing to back up what you have to say. I just said that everybody should be looked after no matter what kind of political background they think they represent. We are all humans at the end of the day that should have basic rights like food, clothes, shelter etc.. Do you oppose these basic requirements or do you want to put up another oversized manga picture?

I'm from Indonesia. I totally agree with this post. I hate money with so much disgusts & contempt. And yes, that's including the capitalism system, which seems to be what most of the world operates now. I don't even care and even so bored with the whole capitalism .vs. communism/socialism debate. That's not the point. The point is it's a pity, sad, & even tragic, of how humanity/mankind IMHO has so much potentials, but only to be held back by all this stupid monetary system (ie: "it's all about money!").

It's actually the main reason why I'm depressed (& suicidal), and most importantly, why I've had what's called an "existential depression" for such a long time, and it's only getting much worse now as I got much older (I'm 40). It's f*cking depressing how we live everyday, mostly just only for survival (ie: "making money"). It all just seems so pointless/meaningless.

It's even more depressing that most/majority of people in this world just seems to be fine/okay with it. This is why I also can't relate anymore to humanity/mankind (or human species), except perhaps some (not many) really 'genius' & inspirational & imaginative work of arts (eg: movies, games, novels/books, anime/manga, music, etc etc etc).
