• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

It's just depressing.
Only disasters, murders, negativity.
It damages your mental health and you lose faith in humanity.

I hate it too. Puts attention on negative things and causes everyone to be angered and argue about politics constantly.

Do not watch the news if you care about your mental health.

Reading the news is one thing, you can pick and select what you read and your source of news. If you begin watching the news, you're going to get bombarded and overwhelmed. I ditched cable solely for that purpose.

The news doesn't really depress me. It just pisses me off. I still keep up with current events.

Yeah, sometimes I get triggered especially when there is stories of people getting saved from themselves or when there is injustice (e.g. police brutality, mistreatment, other negative shit). Overall, I just keep up with the current events so I don't fall behind.

I no longer watch the news or buy a newspaper, haven't done for a long time now. News is just propaganda, they only tell you what they want you to hear.

This shit in California is insane. These are not "wildfires." The government is attacking the state with directed energy weapons. Entire cities are being wiped away. Houses and cars are being completely incinerated down to absolutely nothing except for white ash. People are vanishing into thin air without a trace...no bones or anything. And yet all of the trees remain completely intact and unscathed. The fucking leaves are even still on them. Not only are houses being incinerated down to nothing....there are photos of some houses where these "wildfires" burned in a perfectly straight line. Two thirds of the house will be incinerated into white ash....with the other third perfectly in tact......in a straight line. A fucking car will be incinerated to nothing....with the steel melted onto the pavement!! …..right next to a bush that is 100% normal and intact.

BBPKKEA

These are not fucking wildfires.

I try to avoid cable news just to maintain what mental health I have left but then I have to go eat at like McDonald's where they have Fox News all the time or I have to go buy cleaning supplies and the tabloids up front remind me what a dumpster fire everything is. It's almost like I can't avoid this shit.

I feel the same.
Even if you try to avoid the news it's very hard in public spaces.
Another place they have a lot of tv screens with news is the gym.
