I often wanted to write that but I don't have much to add. I am Lil Peep fan and he had a huge fanbase in Russia. Moreover Peep was bisexual and I could imagine his fanbase is rather diverse. Maybe the answer is pretty easy. There is nothing special about them. The Russian indoctrination is not as severe to ban Lil Peep. I think they cannot do that. Due to the facts dictators allow their people to have some valves and culture gives room for that. However I am not fully sure. I could imagine many of them don't like the war because they are rather aligned to Western values but keep silent due to their fear.
